A backtest meant to map the grid found a real bug instead — invisible on Binance, a slow bleed on Kraken. Underneath it, the honest verdict: the grid absorbs volatility, it does not make money.

MiCA evicted us from Binance with two days' notice, so we ran to Kraken and picked USDC — until the live API revealed BONK/USDC was a synthetic ghost market and we reverted to plain USD.

A routine number check revealed the public dashboard's Net Realized was inflated by ~$8 from an avg-cost reset on dust cycles. Fixed the site, deferred the bot.
